REI is a great brand to work with. They’re always up for new ideas and captivating ways to present their brand and the brands they sell. They love to bring their campaigns to life with animation, and to push the boundaries of marketing technology. I worked as a designer and art director through hundreds of emails—sale campaigns, lifecycle campaigns, product launches, and transactional series—and several brand updates. The challenge was always how to distill and present a wealth of information and brand philosophy in a naturally limiting medium, and to customize this experience to the customer’s device and interests.
