“Alexa, let’s shop.”
In January 2018, after people have received their Alexa-enabled device during the holiday season, I created several placements that included an 11 second animation and an ad carousel to be run on Facebook. The idea was to promote Voice Shopping and the utterance “Alexa, let’s shop.” which triggers an educational experience to use your Alexa device for shopping. In both the animation and the carousel the viewer is playfully led through a variety of popular and familiar scenarios in which one can use Alexa to order and reorder home essentials. I have yet to receive the engagement results, but I’ve been told they were very good and will include them when I can. I have also been asked to create some other ads that we can test against these to help us increase engagement even more!
